The blackout does not happen frequently like back day in Myanmar. But you can expect some electricity cut during your stay in Myanmar.
Most of hotel start from mid-range (let’s say 3 star) will provide power from generator if electricity get cut off. Budget hotel, rural area may not have generator to provide A/C at day time or 24 hours.
In Ngwe Saung & Chaung Thar, there is no electricity at day time. However hotels provide electricity start from 6:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Especially if you are travelling to out of city range, you could expect candle light and moon light for seeing things at night.
We strong advise to bring led light and lamp device. If you forget to buy at your place, no worry, you could easily find in most of major cities in Myanmar.
But do not forget to charge it.

For electricity plug, there is no standard electricity plug type in Myanmar. You may find multiple type of plug in same building.
2 pin plug works most of the case.
