Visit a Lwekaw village(CBT project village) by tuk tuk and trek then take your time exploring the village. The highlight of this tour is an authentic Burmese cooking class; return home knowing how combine flavours and textures to make authentic local food at home. Enjoy an immersive tour of Lwekaw village, Pongtel Village and Lwelem village without the hassle of planning transport of itinerary.
Inle
After a pick up from your hotel in Nyaung Shwe, you will start your day with Tuk Tuk ride to the trekking starting point near Kanne reservoir. Then walk up through several plantations such as grape,turmeric, corn,cheroot leave and avovado to Lwekhaw. On the way, take a rest at the top of mountain to enjoy the panoramic view overlooking Inle lake and its environment. A traditional style lunch will be served at Lwekhaw community house by the villagers. After lunch, do some sightseeing around Lwekhaw ( CBT project village) and walk up Lwekhaw Mountain, culminating at an altitude of 1520m above sea level. The mountain is being conserved as community forest and you can discover various kinds of birds. The sunset view can be enjoined when you reach to the top of the mountain. Pass a night at community house.
After breakfast a community village guide will take you to meet with the villagers and join with them to work in their farm where you can experience the livelihood of loacal people. Then collect fresh vegetables and some ingredients from the farms for the farms for later cooking. You can participate in the preparation of lunch and learn traditional cooking methods with local recipes in the house of your host. After lunch break, a community village guide leads you to meet with some villagers in the village to listen to storytelling. After that, visit to the meditation center and you can try to take meditation at the same time.in the evening, we get back to community house for relaxing by viewing sunset before dinner. After dinner, the villagers will entertain you by playing their own musical instruments and demonstrate ways of their dance. Stay another night in the community house.
After breakfast,we will leave from the community house at 9:00 AM to trek to Pongtel village.You can visit around that village and a chat with local families to experience their way of life.Continue to Lwelem village for lunch.Tea,orange,avocado, and turmeric plantations can be seen along the trail.Thereafter, walk down a rocky trail from Lwelem to Maingthauk Bridge.Return to your hotel by boat.
