We discovered TMTM through the reviews & we are so glad we did. In advance of our arrival in Myanmar we booked all our land transport arrangements with them. We… read more were a group of five travelling in Myanmar for two weeks from Yangon to Bagan to Mandalay to Inle to Loikaw & then back to Yagan. TMTM arranged all our local transfers as well as providing transport for the longer journeys. They were wholly reliable, their vehicles were all well-maintained, & their prices were very reasonable. They sent us names and phone numbers for all the drivers in advance of our journeys. They took care of what might otherwise have been a lot of worry in planning a trip and we unreservedly recommend them to any one else planning to visit Myanmar.

From the moment you arrive in Yangon, you can expect first class service with a personalized meet and greet from our friendly driver. Let us help you with your luggage whilst you sit back, relax and enjoy a safe and comfortable drive to the downtown area. We will kick of today’s adventures with a visit to the breath-taking Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda and its incredible 70-meter-long reclining Buddha.
We will continue our stroll through Yangon’s colonial inner city with picture perfect photo stops on the way into downtown. Here we can explore the vast range of fabulous architecture, historical buildings and Asia’s finest colonial charm such as the post office. After spending some time soaking in the city, we will continue our walk on to Sule Paya, passing by the famous Strand Hotel, Mahabwndoola Garden and the Independence Monument before it’s onward to absorb the colors and culture of Little India and Chinatown.
Later this afternoon we will continue our sightseeing to the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar known as “Shwedagon Pagoda” with its unbelievable 90 meters, gold leaf stupa.
As the sun begins to set on an unforgettable first day, we will enjoy the breath-taking views from the Pagoda and surrounding skyline before transferring back to the bus terminal.Overnight bus to the Bagan.
On arrival to the ancient city, we will continue our journey with a visit to the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda where we will be introduced to Bagan’s rich history. Next up, get ready to immerse yourself in the full grandeur of Burmese culture at Htilominlo, one of the largest and most impressive temples in Bagan.
Let yourself get lost in the splendour of its fine plaster carvings over its arch pediments, frieze and other stunning architectural qualities. Lunch will be served at a delicious local restaurant before a comfortable transfer to your hotel to take some rest for 1-2 hours.
Our afternoon of adventure begins with a visit to Ananda Temple. Built in the early Mon-Myanmar style, the Ananda Temple is an architectural masterpiece and one of Bagan’s most beautiful temples. Ananda contains two unique Buddha images. The Buddha’s expressions seem to change depending on the distance from which the statue is viewed making this temple a truly unique and exciting experience.
Next visit is the unforgettable Thatbyinnyu Temple, an asymmetrical cross-shaped temple built in the middle of the 12th century. Sit back, relax and enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the rolling plains spanning Sunset Hill. Overnight at hotel
A comfortable one-hour drive from Bagan will take us to the magnificent Mt. Popa rising 1,520 meters into the sky. We will climb almost 900 steps to reach the top and Popa Taung Kalat, a temple that is home to Burma’s most revered nats (spirits).
During our ascent, we will pass dozens of nat shrines and the pilgrims that come to honour them. Don’t forget your camera, because when we reached the top prepare to be rewarded by breath-taking, panoramic views of the surrounding region.
Later, we can go to a nearby resort to enjoy the views over a local lunch. After lunch we have a wonderful opportunity to either take a scenic drive to Mandalay.
On the corner of Local Beer Station, you will sit like the locals, and get munching, crunching, sipping and slurping BBQ seafood or BBQ meat ( client own account). Have local drinks with local special beer, soft drink or mineral water. This fabulous night out on the town ends with a transfer back to the hotel.
Today we will explore the magnificent city of Mandalay. We’ll kick off our exploration with an enjoyable journey to the sprawling Shwe Inn Bin Monastery. Constructed in 1895 of teak wood with a beautiful tiered roof and exquisite carvings, the monastery is representative of traditional Burmese style and home to over 30 monks. After spending some time here, we will head to the beautiful Mahamuni Temple. Here lays the holiest Buddha artefact in Mandalay.
We will then move on to visit a marble carving workshop where we will have the unique opportunity to see workers practicing this traditional trade and hand carving spectacular Buddha images. We will take the time to visit a few other workshops where we can learn about ancient royal handicrafts, tapestry and puppet making before a lunch break at a local tea shop.
After a delicious local lunch, we will continue our explorations at a gold leaf production house where we can learn about this ancient craft and make some for ourselves.
This afternoon we will visit Shwenandaw Monastery, the ‘golden palace’. A grand example of 19th Century Burmese architecture, the monastery is beautifully gilded with gold, adorned with glass mosaic and home to impressive carvings of Buddhist myths.
Our next stop will be the Kuthodaw Pagoda, home to the world’s largest book and made out of stunning marble tablets.
