Itinerary

Day1 Yangon Arrival - Meal ( / / )

From the moment you arrive in Yangon, you can expect first class service with a personalized meet and greet from our friendly driver.

Let us help you with your luggage whilst you sit back, relax and enjoy a safe and comfortable drive to the Golden Rock. Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) is a well- known Buddhist pilgrimage site in Mon State, Burma. It is a beautiful small pagoda (7.3 metres, 24 ft) impressively built on the top of a granite boulder and covered with golden leaves that were pasted on by its male devotees.

According to legend, the Golden Rock itself is precariously perched on a strand of the Buddha‘s hair. The spectacular balancing rock seems to defy gravity, as it perpetually appears to be on the verge of rolling down the hill. The rock and the pagoda both sit at the top of Mt. Kyaiktiyo.

Lunch will be served at a delicious local restaurant. Enjoy the rest of your day at your leisure. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy one of Myanmar’s most impressive sunset views at the Golden- Rock Pagoda.

A delicious dinner of local dishes will be served. Overnight at your comfortable hotel.

After a cultural day of sightseeing, we will head back to Yangon. On the way, we will visit the reclusive World War II memorial site near Yangon, Htaukkyan. The Allied War Cemetery is the final resting place for over 27,000 Allied soldiers and a must see whilst we are passing. Our driver will drop you to the bus station to catch a bus your next destination.Overnight by private car to Bagan.

Our afternoon of adventure begins with a visit to Ananda Temple. Built in the early Mon-Myanmar style, the Ananda Temple is an architectural masterpiece and one of Bagan’s most beautiful temples. Ananda contains two unique Buddha images. The Buddha’s expressions seem to change depending on the distance from which the statue is viewed making this temple a truly unique and exciting experience.
